Membership Agreement
Last updated October 17, 2026
In plain English
Your membership is a license to use space and services, not a real-estate lease. It renews as your plan states and can be ended with proper notice.
Contents
1. License, not a lease
Every membership grants a revocable license to use workspace and services under these terms. It does not grant ownership of real property. Applicable statutory rights that cannot lawfully be waived remain unaffected.
2. Term and renewal
Your term begins on the start date in your agreement. Fixed six- and twelve-month terms run for the full period. Month-to-month plans renew monthly. We send renewal reminders before a fixed term ends; if neither side gives notice, the membership continues month-to-month at the then-current rate.
3. Ending a membership
Month-to-month plans may be ended with 30 days' written notice. Fixed terms may not be ended early except as stated in your agreement; remaining fees for the term stay due. We may end a membership for non-payment or serious breach of the House Rules after notice and a reasonable chance to fix the issue, or immediately for safety or legal reasons.
4. Services
Services include furniture, internet, utilities, cleaning of common areas and access to shared amenities as described for your plan. We may change, improve or temporarily suspend services for maintenance or circumstances beyond our control.
5. Relocation
For operational reasons we may, with at least 30 days' notice, move a private-office member to a comparable office at no additional cost.
6. Insurance and liability
You are responsible for insuring your own property and business. CBO is not liable for loss of or damage to your property, or for indirect or consequential losses, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. Our total liability under a membership is limited to the fees paid in the prior three months.
7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify CBO against claims arising from your business, your guests, or your breach of these terms.
8. Non-solicitation
During your membership and for six months afterward, you agree not to hire CBO staff who worked with you, without our written consent.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts serving Brevard County, Florida, and you consent to that venue.
Before filing any claim, both sides agree to try in good faith to resolve the issue informally for at least 30 days after written notice.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version. Material changes affecting active members will be emailed at least 30 days before they take effect, and continued use after that date means you accept them.
